Step 3 · Include your details in the message
Ontario law requires the campaign to record who every contribution came from. In the message field of your e-Transfer, please include:
- Your full legal name
- Your full home address, including postal code
- A phone number or email we can reach you at
If your bank asks for a security question, use a simple one and email the answer to votecarmenwilson2026@outlook.com. The campaign will confirm once your contribution is received.
Interac e-Transfer Only
Zero fees. Every dollar goes to the campaign.
This campaign does not use a credit card processor. Contributions are accepted by Interac e-Transfer through your own bank, which means there are no processing fees taken off the top — every dollar you send goes directly to reaching residents in Wards 2 & 6.
What Your Contribution Does
- $25Prints a stack of door hangers for a full street.
- $50Covers a lawn sign and the stake that holds it.
- $100Funds literature for an entire neighbourhood canvass.
- $250Helps host a community meet-and-greet.

The Rules
Contribution Limits & Eligibility
Municipal campaign contributions in Ontario are governed by the Municipal Elections Act, 1996. Please read these before contributing.
$1,200 per candidate
The maximum any one person may contribute to a single candidate in the City of Brampton.
$5,000 across the city
The maximum total a person may contribute to all candidates running in the City of Brampton combined.
Over $100 is public
Contributions above $100 are itemized in the campaign's financial statement filed with the City Clerk, which is a public record.
No cash over $25
Cash contributions above $25 are not permitted. This campaign accepts Interac e-Transfer only.
Who may contribute
- Individuals who normally reside in Ontario
- Contributing from their own personal funds
Who may not contribute
- Corporations and businesses
- Trade unions
- Federal and provincial political parties, constituency associations, and candidates
- Federal, provincial, and municipal governments, and their agencies
Not a charitable donation
Contributions to a municipal election campaign are not tax-deductible and do not receive a charitable tax receipt. The City of Brampton does not operate a contribution rebate program. The campaign will provide you with a contribution receipt for your own records.
